Every night we read the prices of 41 shops in Mexico and keep the lowest one for each model. During Buen Fin, each model page shows the price from 1 to 12 November next to today's, so an inflated discount shows.
In past editions Profeco, Mexico's consumer protection agency, has reported prices that went up before Buen Fin so a bigger discount could be announced. That is why we compare with the prices we saw ourselves, not with the "was" price a shop publishes.
Buen Fin in one minute
One minute on not falling for an inflated discount: compare with the last 30 days, check the shop and its warranty, and inspect the product as soon as it arrives.
Transcript (English translation of the Spanish narration)
A crossed-out price does not prove the discount is real.
Buen Fin runs from 13 to 17 November, and here are three things to check.
In past editions Profeco has reported prices that went up before Buen Fin so a bigger discount could be announced. So compare with what it cost over the last 30 days, not with the "before" price the shop shows.
Second, look at who is selling it. On a refurbished product the warranty must last at least 90 days, and before you pay you can look the shop up in Profeco's Buró Comercial.
Third, on arrival you have five business days to revoke a distance purchase, so check it that same day: on a phone, the IMEI, the screen, the battery and charging.
At Reacondi we read the prices every night, and during Buen Fin the model pages show the earlier price next to today's.
Compare at reacondi.mx/buen-fin.
Dropped in price today
Today's lowest refurbished price against the median of the daily lowest prices over the last 30 days. Only models with at least 14 days of data and a drop of 10% or more.

How we spot fake discounts
- Every day we keep the lowest price of each model, per storage size, from the shops we read.
- From 13 November, each model page shows the lowest price from 1 to 12 November next to today's. If today's is not lower, the discount the shop announces does not show in the prices we recorded.
- "Lowest price in 30 days" only shows when we have at least 14 days of data from the last month and today's price is equal to or below the lowest of those days.
- In this list a drop only counts at 10% or more against the same model's 30-day median. A struck-through price at the shop does not count.
- We compare the lowest price we recorded across all shops; we do not check each shop's advertised discount on its own.
- Before you pay, check the 90-day chart, the grade and each shop's warranty on the model page.
